Project:  UFA Managed Media contract, film and photography

Founded in 1909, UFA (United Farmers of Alberta) is one of Canada’s largest and most dynamic co-operatives and has grown from a small-scale local co-operative into an extensive retail operation with over 110,000 members. UFA’s businesses include agriculture, petroleum, construction and outdoor adventure.

NewPath handles all the video production and photography for UFA.  This ranges from internal training videos, online promos and their complete brand video, to be released in 2017.  UFA is dedicated to helping farmers and the rural community tell their story.  They are dedicated to helping these people have a voice and bring about conversation into the future of farming and agriculture.  NewPath is assisting in the complete production of these videos as well as the creative strategy behind them.

Below is one of the first videos we completed for UFA.  Their 2017 brand video was a huge success winning a 2018 AMPIA Rosie (click here) for Best Internal Production and also the  Jack McPherson Gold award in Electronic-Media Video.  This is the gold and top award presented for agricultural journalism and communications at the Canadian Farm Writers’ Federation (CFWF) conference.

Jack McPherson Gold Award – “Corporate Affairs Manager, Tracey Feist accepted the award on behalf of UFA. “Our team worked with a talented videographer Tom Acton of New Path Influence from Calgary. Together we created a video to help illustrate a brand campaign that was authentic and aligned with our new marketing direction. The project features UFA member Jason Glass, a seasoned film stuntman and chuckwagon driver, who brought an authenticity in telling our story and helped to bring the campaign to life through the powerful medium of video. This award is significant because we took a chance on the cinematography to illustrate how, as a historic co-operative, we are traveling On the Road to Better. It’s always an honour to be recognized by your peers.”  Read more here.

This was a great few days of filming near High River, AB with pro chuck-wagon driver Jason Glass.
