NewPath Influence had the privilege of producing a cinematic book trailer for The Resistance Daughter, the powerful debut novel by Canadian author Joanne Kormylo. Set against the backdrop of World War II, the story explores themes of courage, defiance, and the enduring strength of the human spirit through the eyes of a young Ukrainian woman swept into the resistance.
To match the scale and emotional depth of the story, our team created a visually rich, 90-second trailer shot on location at The Military Museums in Calgary and the Bomber Command Museum in Nanton, Alberta. Using authentic historical props, custom wardrobe, and carefully staged period scenes, we brought key moments of the novel to life with cinematic realism.
The result is a moving, visually compelling piece used at book launches, signings, and speaking engagements to introduce readers to the novel’s emotional core and historical setting.
